Uniform Information
The information below outlines uniform expectations at St. Giles' CoE Primary School. There is no separate uniform policy.
School uniform is compulsory and the dress code for school and physical education is strictly adhered to.
Standard Uniform –
Green St. Giles sweatshirt or cardigan
White shirt, polo shirt or blouse
Grey / black tailored trousers or skirt
Grey, black or white socks
Grey, black, white or bottle green tights
Black shoes (trainers, heelies and shoes with lights in the soles are NOT permitted).
Please note that other than the St Giles sweatshirt or cardigan, all other items of uniform may be purchased from any retailer.
Summer options –
Green and white checked summer dress,
Grey / black tailored shorts and
White or black sandals (low heeled and secure across toes and heels).
PE Kit –
Green polo shirt
Black shorts
White, grey or black socks
Black trainers/plimsolls.
Children are permitted to wear trainers or football boots for outside activities.
During the winter children may wear black jogging bottoms and a black hoodie.
Swimming – One piece swimsuits (no bikinis), or swimming trunks (not loose shorts).
All children will also need a towel and swim hat but goggles are optional.
Hair – where longer than collar length, hair must be tied back in school for reasons of health and hygiene.
Jewellery – necklaces and bracelets are not permitted for safety reasons.
Watches may be worn but must be removed for PE. The school cannot take responsibility for any property lost or damaged whilst at school.
Children are permitted to wear studs or small hoops (hoops must be covered for PE).
All children should also have a named water bottle in school at all times.
All items of uniform should be clearly named please.
