Welcome
Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome!
On behalf of all of the children, staff and governors I would like to welcome you to St Giles' Church of England Primary School.
St Giles' vision statement of"to learn, grow and flourish" captures the essence of a value system which we believe supports our children grow into positive role models, to learn both academically and socially and to flourish and be confident in all that they do. Our Motto is at the heart of all we do. We are committed to providing children with the tools they need to become successful learners and citizens of tomorrow. We teach our children to be resilient and have strength of character in order to positively contribute to society. We empower our children to grow and develop their minds and opinions every day.
Across the school, we ensure that the learning is tailored to the needs of the children. Our ambition is that every child is prepared for their next stage of education by providing a diverse and inclusive curriculum, linked to exciting experience and visits which bring their learning to life and make it fun. Our House System plays a big part in this. Children and staff from across the school come together in their houses to have assemblies and take part in exciting events.
Mental Health and wellbeing are central to our provision, and pupils have access to excellent pastoral support as well as an ambitious PHSE programme. Pupil voice is heard through our School Council and pupil surveys and we ensure that we listen to our children, their parents and the wider community.
It is a pleasure to introduce you to our school through our website and we hope it will give you an insight into the life of our innovative and inclusive place to learn. If you are interested in viewing the school, please contact the school office to experience first hand, this very special school.
We believe the best chance of success for each child comes from the partnership between home and school.
We look forward to working alongside you to achieve this for your child.
Thank you for visiting.
