St Giles Curriculum Intent
Our curriculum intent is to provide an innovative, broad and balanced curriculum that stimulates interest and enjoyment for all through Christian teachings and beliefs- which enable children to: 'Learn, Grow, Flourish'.
Our curriculum supports children to persevere, be happy, engaged, kind, respectful, courageous and honest towards all members of the school community and wider society.
Pupils are taught a range of knowledge and skills and provided with the cultural capital to ensure they have a firm foundation to be successful in an ever-changing society.
Knowledge and skills are taught and consolidated in such a way that children are fluent and flexible in their approaches and in applying their learning in a variety of contexts.
Therefore, whatever their life goals are, they will be equipped to succeed in all areas of life both in, and beyond, the classroom.
The school's chosen phonics scheme is Little Wandle.
