January 2018

Our topic this half term was Superheroes. We have enjoyed reading lots of different Superhero books, including: Supertato, Supertato-Veggies Assemble, Super Daisy, Traction Man and Super Duck!

One day we got to school and there was a crime scene in the classroom! Evil Pea had escaped from the freezer with his army of peas. They had trapped all of the fruit and vegetables and had also kidnapped Supertato! Evil Pea left us four challenges to try and rescue him! Luckily, we managed to free Supertato and stop him from becoming…….MASHED POTATO!

December 2017

What a busy month! We have had great fun taking part in our play, ‘Born in a Barn.’ We have also had Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas parties and even a snow day! We had great fun playing with the snow.

November 2017

We have been sharing lots of Julia Donaldson books in Class. We really liked the Gruffalo’s Child. One day we came to school and their were some snowy footprints in our playground. Who could they belong to??

 October 2017

We visited our local Church and met Reverend Karen. She discussed how we belong to St.Giles. While on our visit we looked for 2D shapes. Here are some that we found.

On the 19th October we celebrated Diwali. We wrote our own Happy Diwali cards, painted Henna designs on each others hands, acted out the story of ‘Rama and Sita’ and made Diwali sweets.

September 2017

We learnt a song for Harvest, ‘The Enormous Turnip.’ The children then shared this in our Harvest Celebration Assembly. We also had a visit from some tractors!
